The ocean can be your lab too!
Jr. Scientists in the Sea is a non-profit organization reaching out to students with a passion for diving, research, engineering and exciting hands-on activities. We engage youth in physical activity, learning responsibility and accountability all while being just plain fun. Students are able to learn what it takes to explore the ocean as well as what role they can play in maintaining it. Come on, you’re next! Be a diver!
FOSTERING EDUCATION TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
Junior scientists learn science, ecology and general aquatic awareness by participating in reef propagation, fish identification and counts, and by locating invasive species.
We teach diving physiology, diving physics, equipment, diving in the pool as well as in the sea.
All phases of the program are supervised by a competent adult. Each student is assigned a buddy while diving and each buddy team is assigned an adult.
